Testimonials

First grade at SPS has been a wonderful experience for our family.  Our daughter is thriving in this loving, yet challenging, close knit environment.  The small class size has allowed our daughter and her teacher to truly get to know each other.  We enjoy the excellent communication from her teacher and feel comfortable knowing we can reach out to her any time and receive a quick response.  SPS is a truly exceptional and unique educational environment, and we look forward to continuing our daughter's education here.

My daughter attended the local public school for Kindergarten and, while always a happy kid, she never enjoyed school.  Since joining the 1st grade at Shallowford Presbyterian School she loves school.  The caring and loving environment has enabled her to blossom.  The amount of one on one attention really shows as I am consistently amazed at the amount she learns every day.  I am thankful to have her at Shallowford Presbyterian School.

We heartily recommend SPS!  The school has exceeded our expectations and Connor loves his time at school.  As an example, one Friday night he seemed a little down.  I asked him what was up and he said he was sad because he wished he was at school learning!  And, he wasn't delusional from a fever.  What more could a parent want?  His teachers are wonderful and he gets lots of personalized attention.  The hands-on centers approach is very effective.  Connor is thriving at SPS!

The small class experience has been wonderful for our son and daughter. Having smaller classes has afforded our children with an opportunity for one on one learning. Our children enjoy coming to school each day and look forward to new learning experiences.

On a personal level, it's easy to develop a family like relationship with the administration, teachers and staff. They are warm, welcoming, and strive to help your child grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are grateful to have found this hidden treasure in our neighborhood!

We were thrilled to find Shallowford Presbyterian School. It is the perfect environment for our 2 year old. She loves going to school, and we love the safe, structured environment. Her teachers could not be more caring and are great about keeping us updated on her daily activities. We look forward to many more years as part of the SPS family!

Our family has been so happy at SPS.  From the moment I first walked in, I knew it was a special place.  Although we were only initially looking for a mother's morning out program, SPS has come to mean so much more to us.  It has become the place where my kids have met their favorite friends and I have met some amazing parents who have become my friends as well.

For my kids, I love how warm and caring all their teachers are.  You cannot walk down the hall without a chorus of "hellos" and "how are you's".  I love how they have 30 minutes of recess every day, as well as amazing specials worked into the day such as Spanish, Storytelling Theater, Art, Music, Library, PE and Chapel.  When school releases at 1 pm, my kids don't want to go to the zoo or the aquarium, they want to go to the playground and continue playing with their SPS friends!

As a parent, I am very pleased with the age-appropriate curriculum.  There is adequate time for free and imaginative play, as well as learning in a fun way.  I love being able to go in and read to my kids' classes.  I also love the numerous volunteer activities such as Chick-Fil-A lunch day, Scholastic Book Fair and Joy of Giving that allow me to be active in my child's education.  Finally I most love the school-wide events that bring us together as a community: Doughnuts with Dads, Thanksgiving Potluck, Grandparents' Lunch, Spring Sharing and Mother's Tea.

I am so pleased that SPS has expanded their offerings to include a grade school and look forward to many more happy years at SPS!
